Surgeries!!!

Both Gracee and Gage always have sore throats and end up on antibiotics all the time. I had had it with it so Tj and I took them to an ENT in December and told him that we just wanted there tonsils OUT! Of course he agreeded and said they would take their adnoids out too, but he was booked until January. So the wait was on. Finally yesterday the 21st they both went in at 7:00am for surgery. They took us back to get ready for surgery and gave them hospital nightgowns to wear and socks. Gracee didn't mind and changed right away. Gage on the other hand didnt want to wear a dress and started crying. I was already nervous and when he started crying I felt so bad but knew it had to be done. We finally got him in a gown. Then they came in and explained to them what would happen. They were so good with them and made them feel not so scared and me too!! Gage was scheduled first but because he is such a nice brother said his sister could go first (yeah right). Gracee got up on the bed and away she went. She was so brave I couldnt believe her. She did awesome. Gage, Tj and I had to wait around for awhile for Gracee to get done and some other little boy before us. They had this cute little lady that came and talked with Gage and showed him pictures of the OR room and the mask that he would put on to make him go to sleep. She also gave them cute blankets that people make and donate for the kids. By the time it was his turn he had settled down and felt comfortable with the staff and got on the bed and down the hall he went. With no crying!! I couldnt believe that he wasn't screeming for me but I was glad. Then we went into recovery where Gracee was ,she was just laying there with her oxygen mask on by herself. She only cried for a minute and then she was fine. She had some problems right after with breathing since she has asthma so they had to give her a treatment and some oxygen. She ate slushies and had some sprite and was feeling good. Then came Gage! He was screaming all the way down the hall. I felt so bad as soon as he got to our room he started crying more and wanted me to hold him. They helped me get him out of his bed and thats when he saw the IV. That just pissed him off more. Then came the good stuff. Pain meds!! He laid in my arms and cried that his throat hurt. Finally after about 30 min he calmed down. Tj helped me put him back in his bed. He started to feel much better and was eating slushies and drinking. First they took out Gracee's IV and she got dressed. then we waited for awhile longer then it was Gage's turn. Finally aobut 11:30 we got to go home. They are doing so good and I swear the loratab and codiene do the opposite to both of them. Oh well at least there's no pain. It was a long day and I'm glad its over. Now for recovery!!

Mighty Hunter!

Since Gracee got her cricket 22 gun for her birthday we thought it would be a good idea for her to take hunters safety. She started on Jan 5 for a two week course. She went 3 times a week for 2 hrs and then on Sat she did her shooting. I am so proud of her she passed the test with no problem and her shooting was awesome. She got a license and a certificate. She can hunt small animals and then when she gets older of course she will hunt big game. She is such an amazing and smart girl. We are so proud of her and love her so much.

Girls Bunco weekend!

I get together once a month and play bunco with some friends. This month we decided to do a theme so Liz picked ugly sweater. Kelly, Angela and I went to the local thirft store and picked out some nice clothes to wear. It was so much fun and everybody had on the ugliest sweaters. Kelly and I found pleated skirts. When I put mine on Gracee said I looked liked a lamp shade and Gage said my clothes were so ugly he didnt want to sit by me. He also said I shouldn't go anywhere looking like that. Next month we are going to do grandma dresses so while I was in St george last weekend there was a yard sale and they had the perfect dress..Can't wait!!

Sledding Dec 2009

We have had plenty of snow this year to go sledding but it has been really cold. The kids keep beggin papa to take them. Instead of going up on little hill he pulls them around on their sleds that nana bought them with his mule. They love it. Gage just holds on for dear life. Gracee has a harder time and falls off, but they cant get enough of it.

New years Eve!

For New Years we had some of our friends come over and everyone brought something yummy to eat. We played games, cards and the wii all night. The kids kept themselves entertained with their ds. Then at midnight my dad had a christmas tree that he put fireworks under then lite it on fire. It was a blast!

Christmas 2009

I am a little behind this may be a big post.
We had a great christmas this past year. We spent christmas eve just hanging with family. It was a relaxing day. That night we did our tradition of opening one present and of course it was jammies. Then after the kids finally went to sleep Santa went to work. Gracee got up early and woke Gage up. They were so excited to go downstairs and see if santa came. Sure enough he did. They opened their presents in no time at all. Gage got a real bb gun but when he opened it he said "Mom its probably not real right" He wanted a "real" gun so bad so he was really excited when he saw that it was. After a little rest for Tj and I we went over to my moms the kids were already over there of course. We had our traditional casserole breakfast. We took the kids to shoot their guns later and it was just a great day.
My mom decided to have her christmas party on Sun the 27th. So everyone could be there. Heather and the kids drove out here and we got to spend the week with them. I didnt get any pictures yet they are on moms camera so i will post them later. We played games, opened presents and the kids went and played in the snow. It was a blast and fun to have the whole family together.

The real Santa! 12/2009

Ever since our party Gage kept saying that he wanted to go see the REAL santa. So we decided to take him up to the mall and let him. He was so excited and couldn't wait. He ran right up to him and told him just what he wanted. He was glad that te real Santa was there.

Anderson Christmas party!

Better late than never!!
We had the annual Anderson Christmas party on Dec 15. We went to highland to my Aunt Sheilas church. We had a nice dinner and then played games to win some of Grandpa Bills stuff he made. It was so fun. Then of course Santa came. (AKA Brady) As soon as he came out Gage was looking and scratchin his head. He knew something was up. Then as he started having the cousins come up on his lap he looked at me and said "Mom thats Brady" He is really to smart for his own pants. When Santa called up Gage he played along with it. He went up and sat on his lap then with a loud whisper said to me Yep its Brady. He didnt care though cause he got a big truck and trailer. Gracee got a shirt and a necklace and even papa and Tj got to sit on his lap.
